Let's tell a powerful story

Storytelling is crucial for almost every aspect of nonprofit communications. Stories are a good investment, because you can use and repurpose them for your emails, annual reports, donor appeals, thank-yous, brochures, and more. Stories will elevate your communications by making them more interesting, engaging, and emotionally moving.

There's one significant opportunity I see many nonprofits skip, and I couldn't recommend it more highly: include stories on your website. 

Why people want stories
When people read any of your materials, they appreciate information about what you do. They're curious about your services and hopefully impressed by your impact. But what they really want to know is how you're affecting lives.

The best way to do that? Tell them about the lives you have affected. I'll interview some of your participants or clients
 to discover their stories about interacting with your organization.

Other narratives tell the story of your nonprofit as a whole. I might interview board members, staff members, volunteers, donors, or you! Framing your history or your impact as an adventure, not just a collection of statistics, increases your influence over how people feel about your organization.


Many stories incorporate both angles, creating a cohesive narrate of your overall mission in action.

Stories build connection. They make readers care on a deeper level. Stories are powerful.

Storytelling Package #1 - $500
This package includes:

  • 1-3 email interviews
  • A document containing quotes you can feature on social media, etc.
  • Separate stories (one per interviewee) of 1-3 paragraphs each

Storytelling Package #2 - $1200
This package includes:

  • 2-5 phone or video interviews
  • A document containing quotes you can feature on social media, etc.
  • One cohesive story including all interviewees' experiences OR 
  • Separate stories of 1-3 paragraphs or 1 page each (your choice)

Storytelling Package #3 - $2000 - $3000 (depending on number of interviews)
This package includes:

  • 3-7 phone or video interviews
  • A document containing quotes you can feature on social media, etc.
  • One cohesive story weaving all the interviewees into the narrative
  • Separate stories of 1-2 paragraphs each
  • Separate stories of 1 page each
  • 2 separate long-form articles
